Add Your Car to the Museum's Collection
Do you own a distinguished automobile that deserves a legacy beyond the garage? The San Diego Automotive Museum accepts select vehicle donations of historical, cultural, or design significance.
We can use your out-of-use car for:
Ignite Academy
Teaching in the IGNITE Academy, where participants discover automotive mechanics and learn restoration techniques.
A Future Exhibit
We are always looking for new and interesting vehicles to display or add to an exhibit.
The Museum’s Collection
Notable and historically significant cars may be accessioned into our permanent collection.
Sale
The donated car can be sold, with 100% of the revenue for the Museum's building restoration, education programs, operations, or exhibits.
Donate a Vehicle
We take all cars, motorcycles, RVs, and boats (with trailers), and we offer free and easy pickup—even if the motor isn't running. We handle all of the paperwork for you, including the title transfer and charitable tax deduction letter. In some situations, we can accept vehicles with missing titles. Please fill out the following form to get the process started.
