Summer Reading Program Opens at San Diego Public Library

BY ELIZABETH MARIE HIMCHAK: Local libraries will once again be offering prizes – including passes to the San Diego Automotive Museum – to those of all ages who read or are read to this summer.

"Find Your Voice!" is the theme for the San Diego Public Library’s annual Summer Reading Program that begins on June 1 and goes through Aug. 31.

Participants can start registering for the program on June 1 and the earliest they can redeem their completion prizes is June 8. Prizes will be available while supplies last, according to the library’s website.

To join the free program, participants can log books, hours and activities online or complete a paper log that they print at home or pick up from any city library branch. Details are at tinyurl.com/SDPLsummer23.
