In addition to our automobile and motorcycle on exhibit, we have several interactive experiences to enrich your visit to the San Diego Automotive Museum.
Kids Corner
To spark the imagination of younger generations, our Kids Corner includes several automotive-themed learning and play stations. Take a photo in our full-sized race car, test your driving skills in one of our complimentary video game booths, see which car wins in our Speedway, and check out our interactive custom engine cross-section.
More activities will be added as this area expands!
Racing Simulator
Do you have what it takes? Adults can test their racing skills on our advanced racing simulator. Drive the same model used by professionals and see the action, feel the speed, and hear the engine!

Museum Theater
Learn about Don "The Snake" Prudhomme, a legendary figure in drag racing. A California native, Prudhomme began his career in 1962 and has amassed an impressive 112 total wins as a driver and owner. Prudhomme was the first Funny Car driver to break the 250-mph mark.
Nissan Design America
Did you know that Nissan has a design studio in San Diego? For over 40 years, the designers and engineers at Nissan Design America (NDA) have had a hand in many of the most popular Nissan models, including the first Pathfinder (1986) and the all-new 2022 Frontier.
In this display, learn how NDA has become a full-service production design studio capable of handling all phases of vehicle development.
Berg Family Library
The Berg Family Library is under renovation. When it opens, the Museum will again be home to one of the finest collections of automotive research materials on the west coast.
Looking for a repair manual for your 1957 Studebaker? We've probably got it. We can help identify old photos, source old parts, and more. Our volunteer library staff is able to assist you with any question you might have.
