#99 Mark Norris Cajon Speedway Car

Mark Norris was a champion Cajon Speedway driver and subsequently developed a reputation as a racecar builder. He is a three-time champion in the NASCAR Super Stock Division, winning in 1985, 1987 and 1988.
Norris began racing at Cajon in 1970, where 100 superstock cars showed up to race that year weekly. Two years later he started building his own cars and in 1985, started building performance-based race cars for other racers. Norris built a car for his best friend John Borneman in 1986 and talked him out of retirement.
“If you want to make money, don’t go into racing. Racing is a love, not a sport. We race because it’s in our blood.”
