#99 John Borneman Jr. Cajon Speedway Car

John Borneman (b.1949), born in El Cajon, CA, is an American former stock car racer, who competed in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series at Cajon Speedway. In addition, he raced in NASCAR’s Winston Cup Series, the Super Truck Series and the Winston West Series. Borneman is a three-time champion racer at Cajon, winning the Sportsman Class in 1987, 1988 and 1992, as well as winning at the Evergreen Speedway in Washington in 1992.

Borneman’s son, Johnny Borneman (b.1977), started racing at Cajon Speedway, and then went on to race in the Winston West Series and part-time nationwide. In his NASCAR career, Johnny has seven nationwide series starts and one Craftsman Truck Series start. His son Byron and daughter Bristol are third-generation drivers, currently racing go-karts.
